Professional:
Mr. Acord has spent more than a decade in education and is dedicated to providing an excellent environment for students to thrive here at Brewer Middle School. Before becoming an assistant principal, Mr. Acord spent nine years as a high school and middle school band director teaching students in grades 6-12. Band programs under Mr. Acord’s direction have experienced massive participation growth while improving competitively each year. Most recently, Mr. Acord led the marching band at Emerald High School to its most successful year in school history, finishing 9th overall in the state. While teaching at Brookland-Cayce High School in Columbia, he also coached the varsity golf team to two state championship appearances. Mr. Acord has served as a school administrator in Greenwood 50 since 2022.
Personal:
I have been married to Andi Acord since 2012. We have two daughters, Reagan and Emmy, as well as two dogs and two cats. In addition to playing trumpet in the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, I enjoy watching sports, cooking on the grill, and playing golf.
