I have been married to my wife, Kristen Salliewhite, for fifteen years. We have two wonderful boys, Jalen, 18, and Josiah, 14. Jalen will be attending the University of South Carolina next year.  “Go Gamecocks!” Josiah loves building things with his hands and playing video games. Kristen is working on her school counseling degree at Grand Canyon University.

Spending the last nine years coaching and teaching in McCormick County School District provided me with many opportunities. I was the Assistant Principal at McCormick High School, a position I held for six years. I have over 20 years of experience in public education serving as a paraprofessional, career development facilitator, middle college coach, SPED teacher, assistant principal, coach, and athletic director. Having the privilege to work in two different school districts in South Carolina has prepared me for this job. 

It is exciting to have the opportunity to continue my professional journey as the principal of Brewer Middle School. There is no greater joy than being a part of molding the future of America into being productive citizens. It is a blessing that I have been selected to help build Brewer Middle school into the best middle school in the state of South Carolina. “Go Bulldogs!”
